We’ll be running special trips to the SA Heavy Horse Festival at Wirrina on the 27th and 28th of May. Participants will travel by car with one of our support workers. We’ll spend about three to four hours at the event.

You’ll see:

– Lots of big horses

-Carriages up to 170 years old

-People riding, driving and walking big horses in competitions

-On the Saturday, you can take part in a long rein competition, where you stand ( a long way) behind a big horse with two reins and guide the horse around a track, possibly to win a ribbon if you are good.

There are food trucks as well. Should be a great day out.

We will have one support worker for every two participants.

Almost entirely covered by your NDIS plan, If you want to compete there is $20 for a casual membership insurance, otherwise there is no out of pocket costs unless you buy food. This is charged at the support worker rate divided by two plus (half) the kilometres.

Please let Robert know by phone or email, or fill in our contact form, numbers are limited.
