At Heartfelt Support, our mission has always been to provide the highest quality support to our participants. We continually strive to deliver services that are tailored, responsive, and above all, empowering. As part of this ongoing commitment, we have made the decision to operate independently, and not seek registration with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
We understand that this may raise questions, and we want to assure our community that this decision was made thoughtfully, with the best interests of our participants at heart. While this means that we won’t be able to provide services to agency-managed individuals, we firmly believe that this move strengthens our ability to deliver superior care and support to our participants. Let us explain why.
What does this mean?
Operating independently from the NDIA means we will not be listed as a registered provider under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). As a result, we can’t provide services to NDIS participants who are agency-managed. However, we can and will deliver our services to participants who are self-managed or plan-managed.
Why have we chosen this path?
Registering with the NDIA involves a lengthy and intricate process that often redirects valuable resources away from our core services. By choosing to remain independent, we can redirect these resources back towards what truly matters – our participants. This allows us to focus on enhancing our services, innovating our approach, and upholding the highest standards of care.
Our Operations Director, Robert, has guided three businesses through complex registration audits. In fact, he loves a good audit. And he believes our systems are easily good enough to pass an audit. It just doesn’t seem like a good use of our time.
What are the benefits?
This decision brings a host of benefits for both Heartfelt Support and our participants:
1. Greater Flexibility: Operating independently allows us more flexibility in how we deliver our services. We can adapt and evolve our support strategies to better fit the unique needs and goals of our participants, rather than conforming to rigid frameworks.
2. Enhanced Quality: Without the administrative demands associated with NDIA registration, we can devote more time, energy, and resources towards enriching our services and upholding our commitment to quality.
3. Focus on Individual Needs: Our independence reinforces our commitment to a participant-focused approach. We can continue to tailor our services to meet the specific needs of each individual, promoting a culture of empowerment and inclusion.
4. Innovation and Improvement: We can more freely explore innovative solutions and continually improve our support strategies, ensuring we remain at the forefront of disability support services.
At Heartfelt Support, we believe that independence strengthens our ability to deliver exceptional services that truly make a difference in the lives of our participants. We remain committed to our community and look forward to continuing to support our participants on their journey towards independence and empowerment.
